M.Sc. Biotechnologyisrunningunder the edges of University Department of Botany inSelf-financemode since 2009 withwell-equippedLaboratories. The alumni of the Biotechnology wing are well placed in many National and International Laboratories. The students are working with Biocon, Syngene, ILS Bhubaneswar, NIT Rourkela and more.


The Department also runsP.G. Diploma in Medicinal Plants (Since 2003), P.G. Diploma in Plant Biotechnology(Since 2009) and Certificate course in Forestry, Wildlife and Climate Change(Since 2021).

NSS Volunteer Ms. Falak Fatima awarded with President award. Three students have been awarded in national/international conferences for their poster presentation. A good number of students has qualified in DBT/DST/CSIR/INSPIRE/NET/GATE/SJSGC/NFST.
