University Department of Political Science
The Post Graduate teaching in Political Science was started in 1954 under Ranchi College, before the establishment of Ranchi University in 1960. The Department has been fortunate to get intellectual stewardship and leadership since its inception. The Department has the credit of launching Masters Course in Public Administration from the session 2009-10 under self- financing scheme. Faculty of the Department has the destination of guiding Foreign nationals for doctoral research.
Research Journal of the Department: A biannual journal “Research Journal of politics and Administration” is published from the Department since 1962-63.
