Hon’ble Governor of Jharkhand, Shri Santosh Kumar Gangwar, inaugurates the Health and Wellness Centre at Ranchi University in the presence of university officials and dignitaries.

Ranchi, April 8: The Health and Wellness Centre at Ranchi University was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Governor of Jharkhand, Shri Santosh Kumar Gangwar, at the Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Centre. This is the first initiative of its kind by a university in the state, aimed at supporting the mental health and stress management of students, teachers, and staff. In his address, the Governor highlighted that stress is a natural part of life and must be managed with determination and patience. He emphasized the importance of mental health awareness and a balanced lifestyle. Higher Education Secretary Rahul Purwar welcomed the initiative and noted that efforts would be made to provide online stress management services in the future. Dr. Nitin Madan Kulkarni described the centre as a timely step in an age increasingly marked by stress and anxiety. The Vice Chancellor Dr. Dharmendra Kumar Singh termed the centre a significant initiative, emphasizing that universities must care for both academic and mental well-being. The centre will offer services from experts of RINPAS, CIP, and RIMS. The event included a ceremonial inauguration, felicitation of guests, and inspection of facilities. Senior university officials, faculty members, and students were present on this occasion.
